We have fixed the issue with the Auto Refresh on the My Projects and My Lists pages not updating the processing status properly.
This appeared to be specific to people using Google Chrome and Firefox. Although we have now tested the following browsers and it appears to be working correctly with them all:
- Internet Explorer
- Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Safari
- Opera
We do, however, continue to advise that Match2Lists is best used with either Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Some of you may have noticed that with the latest release, we have also added support for automatically assigning the data descriptions to your uploaded lists.
If you have examples of common column names that we are not supporting, please let us know so we can add these too.
This support only exists for English language lists at the moment.
Support has now been added to allow you to upload TAB delimited files as well as CSV files.
TAB delimited files are sometimes more reliable than CSV files when you have address information that contains commas within the address fields.
Most database systems and Excel will support the ability to output data as Tab delimited.
We have just added support for new data descriptions; these include:
- Telephone Numbers
- First Name
- Last Name
We have added some basic transformation logic with these but will be extending this on an ongoing basis, so you can expect it to improve over time.
We’re pleased to let you know that we have now added a De-dupe feature to Match2Lists.
Now you can de-duplicate a single list using Match2Lists.
We have also included some clever functionality that makes approving matches much simpler for you, as most Matches found in a de-dupe are reversible –meaning that they appear twice, once with Record 1 matching to Record 2 and once with Record 2 matching to Record 1.
To simplify matters for you, the visualizer will automatically recognise when a Match has been approved, and show this for both occurences of the match.
When you download your approved match results, you will only receive one record showing this 2-way match.
Any further questions please let us know.
